But Custard jumped up, snorting like an engine. He clashed his tail like irons in a dungeon. He attacked the pirate like a robin attacks a worm. The pirate fired two bullets, but they missed. Custard gobbled (ate) him up, every bit.

6. Aftermath and Irony

After the danger was over, everyone embraced Custard. But soon, they started making excuses. Mustard said, "I would have been twice as brave if I wasn't confused." Ink and Blink said they would have been thrice as brave. Custard humbly agreed, saying, "Yes, everybody is braver than me."

खतरा टलने के बाद सबने कस्टर्ड को गले लगाया। पर जल्द ही वे बहाने बनाने लगे। कुत्ता बोला, "मैं हड़बड़ाया नहीं होता तो दोगुना बहादुर होता।" कस्टर्ड ने विनम्रता से मान लिया, "हाँ, सब मुझसे ज्यादा बहादुर हैं।"
